Hi - my name is Ishaan Mishra. Thanks for taking the time to check out my website! 

I’ve been working in the design field for over 15 years and am currently based out of New York City as a Creative Director and storyteller with a focus on disruptive digital innovation and emerging media to develop creative strategy and collaborate on executions that attract, grow and monetize audiences across linear, digital, experiential and social platforms. In other words, I make dope shit on the internet.

Currently, as Design Director at TikTok, I work to set a vision for the Global Brand Studio team while creating innovative and disruptive new content vehicles for the platform. I help clients start the next big thing on TikTok while being responsible for the design direction and creative strategy of the brand. I champion the creator community and encourage cross functional collaboration while generating regular thought leadership around visual storytelling on TikTok while overseeing the creative direction of consumer and business facing communications. From designing our new typeface, TikTok Sans - to developing our experiential activations at industry events like Cannes, SXSW, CES and more - I help bring our platform to life in a myriad of ways across many different mediums.

Previously, as a multimedia director, I helped make Bleacher Report the definitive social voice of sports – creating and collaborating on projects like Game of Zones, building an audience of over 100 Million social followers, and experimenting with award winning social content. Developing a vision for making sports bigger than the games themselves has led to unmatched engagement on social media, where it consistently ranks as the No. 1 publisher not just in the sports category, but across all media brands. Bleacher Report also provides an industry-leading fan experience on mobile devices through its top-rated app that I helped conceptualize and design.

I am also the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Basketball Forever, the world's-largest independent sports media channel. It’s social-first content reaches young audiences across mobile platforms, with over 80 million fans turning to us every month for all things hoops, both on and off the court. As a part of this initiative I also co-founded and launched a first of its kind Posterizes Art Collective and Digital Magazine with Tyson Beck that redefined digital sports artwork.

At the heart of all of my projects is a focus on experimentation and innovation to give audiences content at the bleeding edge of technology with a consistent tightly woven narrative thread tying it to the emotional sentiment of consumers. It is the full narrative package that resonates with them and develops a deeply engaged community that keeps coming back for more, time and time again.

I’m fascinated by visual design, interactivity, motion, and the constantly evolving technology we work with every day. I believe the future of content lies at the intersection of science and the liberal arts, where storytelling and technology meet to enrich the human experience.

Viewing myself as an unshakable optimist, I believe in a bright collaborative future and our ability to build it together. I am a strong conceptual thinker with a firm grasp of the digital landscape and a wistful imagination for what is left to be done.

I believe that as designers and builders we need to make things that give the most optimal human experience possible for the most users possible.  I’ve produced documentaries, branded pieces, experiential content, mobile games, interactive experiences and social campaigns. With a keen sense of story, I’m able to bring a compelling narrative to each project, ensuring a message that resonates with any audience while finding relatable threads that can enhance any brand ethos.

I’ve worked with some of the world’s biggest brands, agencies, leagues and networks including the NBA, NFL, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Google, Samsung and many more. I have a strong belief that the power of consistency, delivered with an element of surprise and creative flair will lead to successful monetization, increased brand awareness, tons of authentic and organic engagement and some awards along the way. I strive to add value to a brand by creating culturally relevant work instead of just making ads or content for the sake of it.
